Holy-Days

Hey everyone how's it all been! I hope you all had a nice holiday, not like I did. Well it wasn't entirely downhill but stuff like family feuds and bad tempered relatives can have a bad impact on yourself -__- aaaanyways! Let me seeee, i realize that i should write in here more and polish my English skillz that killz hahah. Practice for the future in case next year i get to move! Not just for the sake of next year but also if i don't speak nor write or even read English i'm afraid that my ability will continue to descend - in other words i will experience English defluency? Is that such a word? No i guess not because the thesaurus couldn't even find any snonyms for it hahah!
Okay enough commotion of my own monologue.

that's Dita and my Uncle Iwan :}

I spent lebaran with my uncle's fam, 3 of my cousins came from Kalimantan. Nadya, Dio, and Dita are very bright and hyperactive kids i'm sure they'll all turn out geniuses! Amin teehee siapa dulu dong kakaknya (hah? haha). We went to Bandung for 3 days and 2 nights, went with our other cousins as well, Avi and Abi. There was a conflict, on one side but hey i'm not gonna write about it here it's too blah. We went to Tangkuban Perahu and horseriding, (THEY did, i didn't because it was LEAD, i wanted to go by myself we could've gone to "D'Ranch" but nooo >:( ), strawberry picking,

moments before he got flung out

Dio went on an ATV and got thrown off! But he was still chuckling even when he had grass in his mouth so his dad thought he was OKAY and SECURED THE ATV INSTEAD OF HIS SON, AND LEFT ME IN SHOCK TO HELP HIM GET UP! yea i was pretty shocked huh. The wheels nearly crushed his arm! Damn. But he was oh-kay, just like any other tough little boy :))
One of my best friend planned to watch a movie with me but as far luck goes, his grandma's lung cancer relapsed and poor him had to go to Lampung in the morning of our play-day. Felt bad for turning of my mobile pretty early, hey i thought there wouldn't be anyone asking me about anything again! Sigh. yes this is my beautiful (as in guy-beautiful) cousin Dio!

Oh i forgot, i had a fast-breaking night with the bilinguals! It was pretty fun and a success i daresay, it was only me Nadiya and Dela who organised it so that was pretty good! and of course Icha who helped me with the es buah hehee :D
Don't know why but i can't be bothered with school stuff, damn. It's such a burden not being able to study properly while my mind wanders off on so many occasions. Plus the upcoming tests are like.. what, in less than 14 days? Oh well, there's always late -night catch ups - oops, studying! hahah. I'll be GREAT don't worry *really, trying to assure yourself is harder than you think.

I'll check in on you guys soon aight? Get pumped for school tomorrow! Off for lunch and BTA soon :)

zee one and only,

Eid Mubarak 20-09-2009!

This is the first time for me to experience not being able to go pray Eidl Fitr. And it sucks.. Well before everyone else comes home from the mesjid and I won't be able to use the comp, let me share with you my Ramadhan blessings :)

As we all know, Ramadhan is the time to purify all our sins and the month for self-realization, to look at ourself in the mirror and ask;

"What good deeds have I done for others that surround me? Even for myself?"

This year, I have been touched. Allah has opened my heart, that ONLY realizing the others that need you and are less fortunate is so not enough. I need to do something, and I need to do it as soon as possible. I hope that God gives me time to do that soon, Amin.
Ramadhan is not just about buying lots of food we resist from fasting, nor the fast-breaking with your friends and showing the photos to the world, no. Its the silaturrahim, and the older we are we realize that it truly is important, how we miss our friends and not seeing them in, say, a couple of years, or even 10 years it was the case with my kindergarten friends last year, and how we need to maintain the bond we have started. To continue that bond forever and nurture it.
I daresay this year it has been harder for me to keep my anger and patience rather than last year, I broke my fast (thanks to my nafsu!) one day, and accidentally it was! Seriously guys, do NOT ever try this, and i feel ashamed. Its obviously bad, plus afterwards i felt too guilty. Man, i wish i hadn't eaten that waffle. Didnt taste that good anyway :| what a waste of money as well! (Padang haha)

Oh one more thing. This will be the last Ramadhan for us year 12s.. the last Ramadhan being in high school. Who knows where we'll be eating our pre-dawn meals next year, in Depok, bandung, Yogya? Or somewhere far abroad, away from families and friends? No matter where, I hope we will stil be able to greet Ramadhan, AMIN!

So I should really disconnect now, to everyone who celebrates it, to every Muslim in the world, Eid Mubarak! Happy Eidl Fitr, bless us all! Let the light shine down on all of us who have won the Ramadhan meaning! Amin. Happy Lebaran! Take care for those who are going to their hometowns :)

The Spirit of Ramadhan!
Love,
NVY xxo ;)

Mengeluh Mengeluh dan Mengeluh

yea, that's what I've been up to these days. Complaining.
It's been a month since school and there's always something to complain about everyday. Believe it or not I was never this distraught before. Little things from teachers that get grumpy just by answering delays to the addition of 's to almost every word in English. Oh, "pardons" me.
Hahaha. Lucky my she's-not-so-emo-after-all chairmate is quite entertaining and very artistic! (btw she does AWESOME drawings, I'm boogled o.O). We laugh away these things that make us complain, moan, and a bit anti-social to the other people in our class.. To be honest I haven't settled much in my new class. I mean they're dominantly nice and all that but then again maybe we haven't got to it yet.. oh well.
I got pretty provocated about going into ITB next year, hahah. Still want to get into Medicine UI of course, but have been browsing alternatives in ITB, UNPAD, UGM. They're all to do with health or biology and even the clinical psychology at Unpad can only be entered from students in Science unless the Social kids take IPC and got accepted. Hmm. Well to me the best thing that could ever happen (so far in my life) is the opportunity to move back to Melbourne and continue Uni there (AMIN). Dad's taking the IELTS test on Saturday this week so I wish him the best of luck to increase the points for the Permanent Residency App.
If we get a chance again (and i pray this everytime I get a chance to), of course I'd love to be a Bachelor of Medicine/Surgery at Monash :D but considering other departments, I looked into the Biomedical Science section and there I found a possibility of masa depan cerah dan menyenangkan muahaha.. Coz research in Aus is undeniably more developed of course.
Well I'll continue when I get to :D for now I'm really back on the track of gaining back maximum brain power potential and the most important thing :
EVERLASTING MOTIVATION.

cheerio!

Homecoming Australia!

yaaay! it has been 4.5 years (2005) since I have been back from Australia, and I simply cannot thank God enough for the opportunity to re-visit again, after living there for 4 years. Due to my mum attending the Asian Finance conference in Brisbane, my parents, sis and I went to Brisbane, then to my beloved Melbourne♥, the city that i used to live in :)

we went on the 28th of June, flew at 20.55 from Soekarno-Hatta with Qantas (yes, tasting the most awesome airplane food ive ever tasted again lol) oh and may I inform you that now when you get on flights that are more than 3 hours, you get in-flight movies and there are lots to choose from! Plus cable tv channels, radio stations, cd libraries, and games, well the point is that it's awesome and i highly recommend flying with Qantas (Aus patriotism lol). we arrived in Sydney at 6.30ish in the morning and i gotta tell you, when we were about to land, the sky was rainbow coloured from bottom to top! seriously. and if you live/ever lived in Sydney, is it always like that? it was gorgeous :) made me want to tell mi amigo that "Sydney says 'hi'," lol.

apparently we had to wait for a few hours because transferring from the international to domestic terminal was quite hassled and chaotic with soo many people coming to the immigration section PLUS transferring terminals -_- and remember how Sydney airport's really strict with securities. so yea after we passed all that, we waited for about an hour in the waiting lounge eating apple pie hahah took pics with Hanna, well to make a long story short we arrived in Melbourne, langsung ketemu Ka Fadya dan Bunda, the first thing i felt was the cool gush of wind. wow. very niceee keluar pesawat aja udah gitu, apalagi di luar? i thought. and yea i took of my jacket just to breathe in and intertwine (hah? haha) with the winds once again. aaah.. it felt so good to be back home :)

a few hours at fuzzy's, my nose started running! damn, must be the sudden change of weather. to fasten things up, me my fam and i plus fuz went to Brisbane the next day!
i forgot this lovely bridge's name!
Brissy has pretty nice weather, still sunny but of course cool winds now and then, comparing to freezing Melb. or is it just my wrecked body
adaptation from polluted Jakartan air? hahah anyway we looked around the CBD due to our stay at one of the apartment-hotel in the city. For dinner we went to Woolworths and bought a salad mix, vegetarian pizzas and fish&chips, plus i heated my unfinished kebab from lunch! it was huuugee man too big, even from the a la Turko kebab in dandenong! the City Cat, Brissy's one of a kind water transportation

went to the Botanical Garden, Maritime Museum, lunch at a Chinese resto, walked around with Fuz and found a Wednesday Market, bough yoghurt+free muesli lol, slept in the afternoon coz she had a headache and i took a tablet, watched an episode of Grey's on 7! alhamdulillah, haha
the Wheel of Brisbane

what we failed to do on the next few days were riding the CityCat, the Wheel of Brisbane, ride bikes at the Botanical Garden, see the in-city beach. spent 4 days there and it was pretty wesome. oh yea! how could i forget, we went to Warner Bros MOVIE WORLD! "Hollywood on the Gold Coast"- :D
i love the Scooby Doo Spooky Coaster! didn't capture much on my cam though, my mum actually has HEAPS of GC photos.

went back to
Melb on Friday afternoon, the next day we went to Anglesea, Great Ocean Road. overnight, mm long trip also but the view was soo damn worth it. i was in the car with Ka Fara and Ka Mirza (her husband, they're newlyweds and im going to be an auntie soon! :D), Ka Fadya and Fazkia. we made some jokes along the way and ka Dya told us a bogan joke:

still - Mie Goreng at the Oaks!

speaking in rich Aussie accent (read: BOGAN)): have you heard about the booogan jookee?
well there was a bogan and her friend. that friend had a webslider and the bogan said,
"Hey, your mobile's so weird, the alphabet isn't even in order!"
The friend told her what it was and taught her how to use it, and didn't even find it funny one bit.

haha! get it? a webslider is a phone with QWERTY keys, the bogan never saw it before and obviously knows nothing about it, so she asked her friend but her friend didnt find it funny at all when she SHOULD! get it? oh well haha it was funny anyway when i heard it for the first time :p

we thought of things that would make us feel sick and vomit due to the long and winding road of Great Ocean Rd (ya iyalah), one by one volunteered their ideas and the result was: eating risotto while riding a bike backwards, reading a small-font-printed book and having durian for dessert. ew. very nice huh? i forgot where we got the idea of risotto was from, but

the bike, we saw someone ride a bike on the road how cool is that
that guy rode a bike on THE, Great Ocean Rd in freezing weather like that! the book idea was from me and Fuz turning the clickwheel of her iPod now and then and getting dizzy to read it because we kept turning on the road. durian, haha forgot too. we went as far as Apollo bay because it was
getting

dark and about to rain, went back to the house and had dinner, surprise birthday cake for Ka Fara! yum
went home on Sunday, before that we went to the Twelve Apostles. now THIS, was the most extreme cold weather i had from my visit to Victoria. im not sure how cold it was but it mustve bin under 5 degrees plus it was windy so that made it worse.. but it was worth it the view. pity only 7 Apostles remain now. beautiful. but its really far from the Melbourne though and people should come there in the summer, NOT winter hehe. OH THE BEACHES ALONG THE ROAD ARE SPECTACULAR! FAIRHAVEN BEACH, WOWIEEE wish i had a summerhouse there!! i would definitely come back one day and find this beach again in the summer!!!
off we went, arrived in Melb about 6-7ish in this petrol station that had a dining place, got hot chips and tea, the trip home was fun and ka Dya and ka Mirza 'interviewed' me about my school life hahah one funny question from ka Mirza was:

"Apakah tawuran merupakan sebuah bentuk ekstensi pergaulan di kalangan remaja?"

hahahha! yea and stuff like that, it was fun. got back to Fuzzy's and spent time with Adin and Meuti and others, caught up with some friends on FB and went to sleep at about 2 again because we came up with more things to google about! (have i written that down already? gosh this is soo long)

i will really try and make this short alright? this (hopefully) will be the last time i will edit this post because it seems that i dont have that much time on the comp these days. year 12 people! gahh.
on Wednesday we met SANDRA! aaaaaaaaaaaaa i miss her sooooo and and she really liked the 2009 glasses i got her! she didnt expect that i would get it and apparently it was the last pair in that store we saw. lucky :) bisa aja she managed to think that 2009 wil be the last of them making these kind of glasses because next year will be 2010 SO you cant wear 1 around your eye can you? lol. we had crepes, did a little shopping, looked into vintage stores, boutiques with $100 per dress.. hahah and helped her find one for her formal, but unfortunately couldnt find the right one. she only likes BLACK and DARK colours, also shades, hahah it was pretty hard and we laughed about it, had so much fun pity only for abt 2.5 hours..? she had Taekwondo after so she had to go home early. and homeworl. yeah, then me and Fuz went to Melbourne Central (yes the awesome train station has been transformed into a shopping galore place, very nice) and got presents and such. Flagstaff to Abah's office, then to the Consulate General of Indonesia, met Ibon and Melissa.. plus Alyssa Soebandono, currently studying in Melb and again, apparently lives near Fuz (ternyata). she didnt know as well). Abah knows her dad, which was his boss at some period of time. okay so ordered pizza by phone while we were still on the road and picked them up (i never knew there was such a thing in Melb -_- well im not surprised)
Adin and Meuti were sleeping over.

next day went to Chadstone, long-lost Chaddy i've been wanting to go to. and yes, it too has been EXPANDED, tooooo expanded i believe hahah watched The Hangover (MA15+, my Indo ID was accepted, thanks to the dude who served), lunch by the sushi train in this Jap resto i forgot its name, and bought oleh2 for YOU guys. hehe. went home, our Indo friends came, and their families, nice. met Hanif and his bros, also Galih. played a fun round of Pictionary!

the next day was devastating.. my last day of vaca. loneliness and awkward situations waits upon me.. lebay. i dont wanna go home... all i wanted was XI IPA 1 to be a whole class again, so at least i had something to look forward too. well, fuz didnt come to the airport, but it was sad of course.. cried when Bunda hugged me, all their fam has been so nice, since i've known them so that means since i was born.. :') i love you all. and i really hope that my Dad's PR application get accepted so we can all live there together again.. Amin.

as "I Still Call Australia Home" tune in to my plane earphones, liquid start running down my cheeks and I know, I just know that deep down inside.. we'll be back again. Together as a whole family :)

Day Minus Oneee!

oh my ooh oh my! so damned exhilarated!
okay well this morning i signed up for yr 12's lessons at BTA 8 in Mayestik. hope Aul will follow there too in the end hahah coz i won't have any friends :( cancelled the one in Tebet because Dad suddenly worried about the transport lol could've said earlier.

meeting Rona was impossible as well today because she had to go to this gathering thing what Batak ppl do (she said it herself hahah), compare her and her cousins grades. that's normal. at least she doesn't have little cousins who you dont get compared to, well you just can't lol hahah

i hate this i hate not having a recent pic of myself on the comp! i cant be bothered taking the webcam out and Mum's sleeping atm soo i'm not disturbing someone else's rest anyway

i guess i'll write when i come back from Aus or if i'm able to, from Fuzzy's house hahah
i'm trying to forget everything nasty.
and it's working, slowly :)

G'day Mate!

MerDer's Awaited Quote!

You know there's this one sad episode in the second season of Grey's which I have had the urge to find the exact words just TODAY, due to my suffering of not being able to watch GA for now, lol. I need to buy season 4 ASAP seriouslyyy before I go on Sunday.. At least watch a couple of epis and I can bring it to Aus if I want haha. Enjoy. You're gonna LOVE it.

"Meredith: I can't... I can't remember our last kiss. All I could think about was I'm going to die today and I can't remember our last kiss.

Which is pathetic, but the last time we were together and happy I want to be able to remember that. And I can't Derek. I can't remember.

Derek: I'm glad you didn't die today. (goes to leave but turns around)
It was a Thursday morning. You were wearing that ratty little Dartmouth t-shirt you look so good in.
The one with the hole in the back of the neck. You'd just washed your hair and you smelled like some kind of flower.
I was running late for surgery. You said you were gonna see me later and you leaned to me, you put your hand on my chest and
you kissed me. Soft. Was quick, kinda like a habit. You know, like we'd do it every day for the rest of our lives.
You went back to reading the newspaper and I went to work. That was the last time we kissed.

Meredith (beat): Lavender. My hair smelled like lavender from my conditioner." :'(

Shucks

You would have to tell me how much you hate me, and everything about me and what I do before I can completely wipe you out of my mind and my heart. But never my life; it's been a non-scrapable thing since we both knew the truth.

Why do you have to do this? If this isn't over, then I'm up for FAIR PLAY.

I know I have no right to forbid you from doing anything but every time I look at it, it's a goddamn wrecked train again I'm on. But strangely I refuse to get off. Over and over again. I actually like this train and maybe I'm just so used to it by now.

Sometimes I get confused why I look at it over and over again and get hurt but hey who to blame if I'm so curious about the shit that you share with her hahah forget about it you would never understand how much YOU don't get what you're missing.
